I’ve been thinking a lot about Gregor Mendel lately, for a variety of reasons, especially as we enter what I lovingly call Honeycrisp season, otherwise known as fall. This was a fun thought I had in my head – what fun it would be to eat seasonal produce with this great man and chat about how some of these tasty treats got to be on our table. Smart people inspire me.
Frozen foods can be just as nutritious as fresh! It’s absolutely fine to use frozen veggies or fruits as a time saver in the kitchen on busy days. The added bonus is that there is no waste on frozen produce and shortened prep time since all the chopping is done!
